Who I am:
I am a stay at home Mom to a 2 1/2 year old little girl named Ellie, with another little girl expected in August. I love chocolate chips, the smell of rain, and warm blankets. My days are filled with children's museums, trips to the library, parks, feeding the ducks, and lots of dishes and laundry. I try and keep busy by trying new recipes, crafts, and various other money saving ventures.
My husband and I met and got married while attending Brigham Young University (Go Cougs!). We still bleed blue. After both of us graduated and we added Ellie to the family we made the long haul out to Raleigh, North Carolina. We LOVE it. We love being surrounded by green trees. We love being so close to so many interesting places, including the beach. Ask me anytime and I will give you a sales pitch for Raleigh!
Confessions:
I tried coupon shopping and didn't stick with it. I did it for about a year and a half but lost steam. I guess in the end it just wasn't my thing. I have decided to focus my money saving efforts in other areas that I enjoy more--mainly making lots of yummy homemade food. Now THAT is a cause I can get behind!
I use real butter, real sugar, non-organic produce, and feed my child processed snacks when we are on the go. I also feed her lots of fruit and healthy homemade food.
We are not vegetarians, do not buy free range chicken and beef, and enjoy a good hamburger from Red Robin or Cook Out whenever we get the chance. We do try to limit our intake of red meat and have meatless meals as much as possible.
My child never wore a cloth diaper and I dry my clothes in the dryer, not on a clothesline. I do make my own homemade laundry soap which is cheap, and I know what's in it.
Moderation in all things is my motto. And I wish I would actually stick to that motto when it comes to my sweet tooth...
Love the blog! You are amazing!
